About Amber Fort

Amber Fort is a magnificent hilltop fort built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592, on the site of an earlier 12th-century fortress of the Kachwaha Rajputs. It served as the capital of the Kachwaha rulers before Jaipur city was founded. The palace complex blends Rajput and Mughal architecture and is famous for the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), heady of Diwan-i-Aam, Sukh Niwas and intricate frescoes.
