About Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory)

Vijay Stambh, or the Tower of Victory, is a nine-storey victory tower erected by Rana Kumbha in the mid-15th century to commemorate his victory over the combined forces of Mahmud Khilji of Malwa. Rising about 37 metres, it is covered with intricate sculptures of Hindu deities, warriors and flowers across its balconies. Visitors can climb its narrow internal staircase for views over the fort.
