Prithvi Raj Smarak is a prominent historical monument in Ajmer, Rajasthan, dedicated to the legendary Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan. Situated on Taragarh Road atop a hill, the memorial offers panoramic views of Ajmer city and the surrounding Aravalli hills.

 About the Memorial

The centerpiece of the Smarak is a striking black stone statue of Prithviraj Chauhan mounted on a horse, holding a bow and arrow. The horse’s raised front hoof symbolizes that the king died in battle, reflecting his valor and sacrifice. 

The memorial was inaugurated on January 25, 1996, under the leadership of Onkar Singh Lakhawat, then Chairman of the Urban Improvement Trust (Ajmer). The bronze statue is life-sized and elevated on an 11.6-foot-high stone plinth, making it a prominent feature of the site.
