About Siliserh Lake
A serene artificial lake near Alwar built in 1845 by Maharaja Vinay Singh for the king's queen, Sila. A heritage palace stands on its northern shore, now partly a hotel. It attracts migratory birds and is a popular picnic and boating destination.
