About Nawalgarh
Nawalgarh is a fortified town in the Shekhawati region, established in 1737 and regarded as a cradle of the distinctive Haweli and art traditions. It is home to dozens of painted havelis belonging to the prominent Marwari poets, bankers and traders of the Oswal community. Among the most celebrated are those funded by Jodhpur's Poddar and other families, such as the grand estates around the town.
