About Menal

An ancient complex of 10th-century Shiva temples set beside a picturesque waterfall on the edge of a forested valley. It is attributed to the Chandela-style architecture of the era and lies between Chittorgarh and Bundi. The site combines ruined temples, carved pillars and a stream-fed cascade.

Menal Mahashivratri Mela

Menal, known for its ancient water temple and twin Mahadev temples in the Aravalli foothills, holds a well-attended fair on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Devotees visit the Shiva shrines and the cascades of the Menal river gorge for darshan and holy rituals.
