About Jhunjhunu
Jhunjhunu is a historic town and district headquarters of the Shekhawati region, famed for its painted havelis, temples, forts and stepwells. The town is dominated by the Khetri Mahal (Wind Palace), an 18th-century pavilion with dozens of carved arches, and is known for the Rani Sati Temple complex. Its Marwari merchant families built fine frescoed havelis across the old town.
