About Jaswant Thada

A white marble memorial cenotaph built in 1899 by Maharaja Sardar Singh in memory of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It is built in the Rajputana style and is sometimes called the Taj Mahal of Marwar. The cenotaph's thin marble slabs glow warmly when the sun shines through them, and it sits beside a small lake with views over Jodhpur.
