About Fatehpur
Fatehpur is a Shekhawati town founded in the 15th century and known for some of the finest painted havelis and fort (Fatehpur Fort) in the region. It was a major trading town where wealthy merchants built mansions adorned with frescoes of gods, British officers, trains and other novel subjects. The town preserves the Shekhawati architectural tradition of jharokhas, chhatris and painted courtyards.
