About Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra

A historic mosque built in 1199 by Qutbuddin Aibak on the site of an earlier Sanskrit college. The name translates roughly to 'shed of two and a half days' and comes from a legend that its construction was completed in that short time. It is known for its large arched prayer hall and finely carved pillars.
