Maharaja Ganga Singh Ji (1888–1943) was one of Bikaner’s most progressive rulers.
He was a visionary modernizer, introducing railways, education reforms, waterworks, and public health systems in Bikaner.
The Public Park was established during his rule or in his honor after his reign, symbolizing the blend of royal patronage and public welfare.

The park is open to the public all day, but it’s best visited:

Inspired by British-era royal gardens, with a combination of Rajputana style pavilions and European-style landscaping.
The statue of Maharaja Ganga Singh is placed on a high red sandstone pedestal in a circular area, giving a regal aura.
Pathways are symmetric, echoing Mughal garden influences.
