Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected forest area located about 32 km from Bikaner, near Gajner Palace and Lake. Once the royal hunting grounds of the Bikaner Maharajas, the sanctuary is now a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and nature lovers.
The sanctuary is home to various animal species like:
Nilgai (blue bull)
Chinkara (Indian gazelle)
Blackbuck
Wild boar
Desert fox
Jackal
In winter, migratory birds including the imperial sandgrouse, flamingos, pelicans, and demoiselle cranes visit the area, especially around Gajner Lake.
