Located within the grand Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan, the Vijay Stambh (Victory Tower) is one of the most iconic historical monuments in India, symbolizing Rajput valor and victory.
Built by: Rana Kumbha (ruler of Mewar)
Year of Construction: Between 1442 and 1449 AD
Purpose: To commemorate his victory over the combined armies of Malwa and Gujarat Sultanates, led by Mahmud Khilji.
Dedicated to: Lord Vishnu – the tower is richly adorned with Hindu deities and inscriptions in Sanskrit.
Height: Approximately 37.19 meters (122 feet)
Stories: 9 floors connected by 157 steps inside
Material: Constructed using red sandstone and white marble
Design: A perfect example of Rajput architecture with carvings of gods, goddesses, musical instruments, celestial beings, and inscriptions of historical events.

Interior Inscriptions: The names of the architect Jaita and his three sons (Napa, Puja, and Poma) are etched inside.
